Rev. Dave Schultz was appointed pastor of Orion UMC in July, 2006. It’s the third church he’s served in Henry County, Illinois, having previously served congregations in nearby Geneseo and Cambridge.
Ordained in the Assemblies of God in 1983, Pastor Dave transferred into the United Methodist Church in 1994. Orion is the third United Methodist Parish he’s served.
Earning his bachelor’s degree from North Central Bible College, Minneapolis, in 1980, Pastor Dave went on to earn his master of divinity degree from McCormick Theological Seminary in 1998.
Pastor Dave and his wife, Candice, were high school sweethearts in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. They are the parents of three sons, Jonathan, Jordan and Justin.
